I Law and Mediation Services was created by lawyer, Shahla Khan Salter, to provide inclusive and affordable legal and mediation services.
I Law welcomes all clients – regardless of race, ethnicity, faith, citizenship, gender, gender expression, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability and age.
The “I” is for inclusive.
Called to the Bar in Ontario in 2014, in Manitoba in 1992 and in British Columbia in 1996, Shahla’s career and community service has consisted of a life long dedication to justice and equity.
Shahla served Winnipeg as a family litigator for 9 years prior to moving to Ontario and then led and engaged in public awareness campaigns for women’s rights and LGBTQ rights both at home and abroad.
For the past three years, she has provided legal counselling to Ontario clients for a national legal consulting company and understands the high demand for access to justice. Shahla has completed 40 hours of training through the training course, Fundamentals of Family Mediation, held by OAFM (Ottawa) and 42 hours of training in mediation, facilitation and conflict resolution at the Canadian Institute for Conflict Resolution.
Shahla is also a single mom to three boys and resides in Ottawa.
